April 2024 #1: Earth Month, Greenwashing & Embracing Slow Moments

ME: basically the entire month 👇🏻

Hey, friend!

Wow, wow, wow… March was truly a whirlwind! In case you missed it - March was “sustainable or greenwashing month” where I shared 31 deep dive videos on popular brands to see if they are what they say they are. You can watch those on Instagram or TikTok.

Let’s just say, it was a LOT of work and I learned a lot! I always find it fascinating to research brands (especially since my background is in advertising) because I find greenwashing is more common than you think it is. There are so many brands I go into my research thinking they are are an eco brand, but by the end of my research I realize they must just have a really good marketing team, haha.

ANYWAYS, the hectic month is over and now it’s time to focus on April - AKA Earth Month!! If you’re looking for ways to participate, I find that Earthday.org has so many good resources to check out.

I’m thankful to have you guys around to support me and really be an amazing community to lean on and ask questions! If you’re new here, hit “reply” and let me know how you’re celebrating Earth Month this year.

PS: If you read the last newsletter, I said I would share updates on my No Buy Month! I’ll include those in the next email for you all.

XOXO,

Krys

This month’s gentle reminder: Slow and Steady Wins the Race

You know that wise old tale about the Tortoise and the Hare? If not, the summary of it is that even though the rabbit is faster than the turtle, he was careless and ended up loosing the race. I know when life feels slow & it feels like nothing is happening, the waiting period can really feel excruciating. BUT I’m here to remind you that going slow is the best way to button up loose ends and ensure you’re headed on the right path. The journey may feel slow, but the universe is working its magic behind the scenes. So allow yourself to slow down, take a moment, and enjoy the speed. You got this, friend. <3
