This month’s gentle reminder: Set Routines for Confidence Confident Resolutions

Did you know one of the best ways to increase your confidence is to create & maintain routines? As someone who has hated routines for as long as I can remember (they’ve always felt a little claustrophobic for me), it’s one of my goals to redefine them since research shows routines create a sense of purpose and accountability.

SO - I encourage you to write down your ideal day. What time do you wake up? What do you want to feel like by the time you get dressed and ready to go to work/school? Once that’s been written down, address your current routine and see if there are 1-2 small changes you can do to get closer to your “ideal” day.

Be sure to start small, so that way your habits will stick with you for the long run. In fact, this study finds that “too much change, too fast” is likely to end without positive results, and they recommend adding in one or two changes at a time to slowly build a routine that is sustainable for your lifestyle. I’ll be working on this too, because we all could use an easy way for a little confidence boost. ✨
