September 2023: Welcome to Fall, Comparison, & What’s Trending

SEPTEMBER IS FALL AND YOU CANNOT CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE.

Let the -ber months commence!! Happy freaking September everyone. In case you can’t tell, the fall is my ultimate favorite season. I know a bunch of us probably are looking at spicing up our home decor with some seasonal decorations, but before you buy anything new, check out my tips below for seasonal decorating;

  1. If you want unique seasonal decor, you HAVE to check out your local thrift stores. They have some super cool decor that gets donated and gives you the spice of life your looking for while also giving those items a new home instead of a landfill.

  2. Try your best to use what you already have! If it doesn’t fit your ~vibe~ anymore, can you DIY it? Give it a fresh coat of paint? Does it need sparkles? Whatever it’s lacking, see if you can get crafty and make it into something that you love again.

  3. Shop things that can be reused! I know it’s fun to have themed paper plates, but think about opting for neutral plates and a few pumpkins or other decorations that can be reused every year.

What are you looking forward to this fall/winter? Hit reply and let me know so I can share with the group!

XOXO,

Krys

This month’s gentle reminder: Stop Comparing

Guys, I have been SO BAD with comparing myself to other people lately and I know I am not the only one who gets caught in this trap. Alexa, play “jealousy, jealousy” by Olivia Rodrigo.

Especially in this age of social media where everyone's highlight reel is on full display, it can make you think to yourself questions like “why can’t I afford a trip to Europe?”, “how come I haven’t gotten a promotion at work yet?”, or even “why can’t my body look like other people my age?”. These are all questions that most people have wondered at some point, but let this be your reminder that everyone has their own unique journey and path in life. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses, and that's what makes us all unique and special.

Comparing ourselves to others only leads to feelings of not being “good enough” and can hinder our own growth and progress. Instead, focus on your own journey and celebrate your own successes and accomplishments because HONEY, YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH.
